Mash ki Daal !!!!!
Mash ki daal, also known as Urad daal, has
deep roots in the traditional cooking of South Asia,
especially in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh.
This humble white lentil has been part of desi kitchens
for centuries.
Long ago, in the royal kitchens of the Mughals,
urad daal was used to make rich dishes like daal
makhani and haleem. But in everyday homes,

Recipe!!!!!!!!!
Ingredients:
2 cup mash ki daal
4 tbsp oil or desi ghee
1tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 medium onion (finely sliced)
1 tsp cumin seeds (zeera)
2–3 whole dried red chilies
1 tsp crushed red chili
½ tsp black pepper
(optional)
Fresh coriander ,sliced ginger and
green chilies (for garnish)
Lemon (for serving)
๐ฉ๐ณ Instructions:
Boil the Daal:
Add soaked mash daal in a pot with enough
water to cover it. Add a pinch of salt.
Boil on medium heat until soft but not mushy
(about 20–25 minutes). Drain any extra water if needed.
but keep grain visible.
Make the masala:
In a frying pan, heat oil or ghee. Now add sliced onions
and cook until crispy brown. Add ginger garlic paste
and fry until golden. Add cumin seeds, whole red chilies,
and crushed red chili. Stir for a few seconds to release
the aroma.
Mix & Serve:
Add the boiled mash daal.mix well.
Sprinkle it with black pepper if you like it extra spicy.
Garnish with chopped green chilies, fresh coriander,
ginger and a squeeze of lemon.
This daal tastes amazing with tandoori roti, paratha. ๐
