Traditionally!!!!!!!!!!

Traditionally, chutneys were made using stone grinders and

fresh ingredients to enhance flavor and aid digestion.

Tomato chutney was valued because tomatoes were

affordable, easily available, and could be preserved for

longer when cooked with spices. Each region developed

its own version, some sweet, some spicy, and some tangy,

depending on local preferences.

Today, tomato chutney is enjoyed worldwide in many forms,

from traditional homemade recipes to modern “viral” versions

shared on social media. Despite these changes,

its role remains the same—to add taste, balance meals

and provide health benefits along with delicious flavor ๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒฟ

Good for skin

Tomatoes are very useful for skin health

They help maintain a natural glow, protect the skin from

sun damage, and slow down signs of aging.

The antioxidants in tomatoes also help keep the skin clear and fresh.

Digestive Health and Weight Management

Tomatoes are good for digestion because they contain

fiber and water, which help prevent constipation and keep

the stomach light. They also help improve appetite and

support better absorption of nutrients.

For weight management, tomatoes are an excellent choice

as they are low in calories and high in water content, helping

you feel full without adding extra calories.

Eye Health

Tomatoes support eye health due to the presence of vitamin

A and powerful antioxidants that help protect vision

and reduce the risk of eye-related problems.

Bone Health

Tomatoes are also beneficial for bone health because they

contain vitamin K and calcium, which help maintain

strong bones and support overall bone strength.

Who Should Avoid Excess Tomato

People with acidic stomach issues, kidney problems

food allergies, or severe joint pain should consume tomatoes

carefully and in moderation, as they may cause discomfort or

worsen symptoms in sensitive individuals.
